On today's show.. |
back on the air |
Allgoonerdup is back after a weeks long
hiatus, well more to the point, there were gremlins in the
system. We had problems with the server which is back on
track now - however a lot of emails to the site have been
lost so if you have sent a picture for Goonerbabe in the
last two weeks or entered the comp to win that lovely Wunderland
Arsenal t-shirt (see below)- please send again, you know
it makes sense. |

More great news... |
It's been announced today that Arsenal
captain and all round Mr Nice Guy, Thierry Henry will be
out of action for up to a month. Captain Titi who missed
the shock loss to northern boys Middlesbrough at the weekend
is set to sit it out until October.
The jet propelled forward said in this exclusively gleaned
report "I
had some scans and was told to take at least three week's
rest, although it could be a month."
The France international added: "The
injury has come and gone since last season. When we were
playing one match a week right at the start of the season
it was not so bad. But now it is a game at the weekend
and a game in the week. I have noticed the difference and
the groin has become more painful.
"I knew my body was not right
and I just have to rest. I do not want to copy what I
did last season when I played on with an injury."
The star forward who is a goal shy from
equalling Highbury leg-end Ian Wright's 185 club scoring
record will miss Premiership games
against Everton, West Ham and Birmingham and Champions
League games against FC Thun and Ajax. Is there any good
news?

you need to do is answer this simple question. The new stadium

Ashley Cole - in midfield revelation! |
Hotel visiting and Court going defender
Ashley Cole has publicly stated something everything Gooner
knows - 'We miss Paddy'. The young left back said after
the loss at the weekend "We've
lost key players, but we've only really bought Alexand er
Hleb in, we've lost Patrick Vieira, who was our
main inspiration in midfield.
"There's nothing we can do about it
and we've just got to do what we can with the squad we've
got." Ashley - you're not wrong. |

round-up in 60 seconds or less... |
Heard that one before,
Arsene Wenger still believes The Arsenal can win the Champions
League. With a glint in his eye the wily Frenchman
said 'If Liverpool can win it, why can't we?'... Damien
Comolli the ex Arsenal european scout has been named
as Tottenham's new technical director. He replaces
Frank Arnesen who decided to go The Bank of Chelsea
after the chequebook champions 'showed him the money'....ex
Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira scored his first goal
for Juventus in their 4-0 demolition of Empoli at the
weekend. The Arsenal could of done with some of that
scoring prowess on Saturday... that's it for now, au
reviour mon amis... Keep it locked, more news at 11... |
