Slow news week... that'll be International's
week then
With England playing their final two World Cup Qualifiers,
the first against Austria on Saturday then next up Poland
on Wednesday, there's been absolutely no news. We can't
even count on The Currant Bun or the Daily Mirror to make
stuff up. So very concise this is the news we have
for you Gooners.
Hill-Wood didn't want The Bank of Chelsea row
Arsenal old boy and Chairman Sir Peter Hill-Wood has revealed
he was opposed to chasing down the chequebook champions
in the Ashley Cole tapping up row. In this exclusively
gleaned report from The Daily Telegraph Sir Peter said "I
would rather we had handled it differently but the majority
of the board felt we had to do something. We know this
sort of thing goes on all the time. All clubs do it, although
The Bank of Chelsea were rather blatant about it. But I
do not have any ill-feeling towards those Sarf West London
chavs."
Old Etonian Sir Peter added whilst puffing on a large
Havanan "I don't think Chelsea are making the Premier League
boring (cough, cough). You always have complaints when
one club is dominant. Smaller clubs used to complain about
us and Manchester USA. I'm not remotely jealous about Chelsea."*
*Some of this interview may of been sexed
up. Clichy to get his chance
Gael 'The Understudy' Clichy will get a chance to show
what he can do as (old) news that Ashley Cole will be out
injured for around a month with a stress fracture on his
foot. The youngster has stood in very well and delivered
the goods for Cole when asked.
Clichy is recently quoted as saying "I want to play
more and more, but I think patience is a big word for me.
I know I am going to get my chance one day, if it is not
this season, then maybe next season, or two years later,
you never know. I am really happy and am just waiting." I
am really focused on the left side, because it is a chance
to play as well, to come on for the last 20 minutes or so."
The talkative little youngster even added "I try
to do some Robert Pires and Jose Antonio Reyes skills -
but it is hard!" Before going to the shops and buying
a big bag of sweets.

round-up in 60 seconds or less...
Oh yes they are, Patrick Vieira has said
The Bank of Chelsea are too predictable to win The Champions
League. He probably said the Chequebook Champions are boring
as well, but we're not sure... Ex-Tottenham centre
half Gary Mabbutt has revealed he's a Gooner in disguise
and reckons Sol Campbell should get the nod ahead of shop
going Rio Ferdinand for England's World Cup Qualifiers...
Big cigar chumping old boy Sir Peter Hill-Wood has revealed
he would rather have Arsene Wenger instead of José 'Money'
Mourinho as coach... that's your lot, this news day is
like a dwarf covered in sugar... short and sweet.. enjoy
your day good people.
