Will he? Wont he?
Arsenal managerArsène Wengerhas revealed that the
Gunners captain and all round Mr Nice Guy Thierry Henry
is a major doubt ahead of the game against Spurs. It's
not yet known whether it is a case of mind games to lull
the Spurs into a false sense of security or whether The
Arsenal's goal scoring record holding hitman will indeed
sit it out.
The wily Frenchman (Wenger that is) has revealed that
the jet propelled forward has only a 30% chance of playing.
In this gleaned report Saint Wenger said "At the moment
he is not there. He is 30% to play and 70% not to play." On
this news being reported a huge cheer could be heard in
the N17 part of London as the already smug Scum fans celebrated
and danced in debauched fashion.
The good news is that tickled ribs victim José Antonio
Reyes and 'Camp' Freddie Ljungberg will be
back in contention. Sol Campbell who captained the 'Little'
Arsenal to their 3-0 victory against northern monkeys Sunderland
is likely to return as well and he'll will be assured a
nice little welcome back at Shite Hart Lane. Long term
injury victims Alexander Hleb and Mr Cheryl Tweedy akaAshley "The
best left back in the world™" Coleare
still waving their sick notes and wont be seeing any first
team action until late November at the earliest, the work
shy slackers.
Keith speaks about Henry & January Sales cash
Arsenal managing director Keith Edelman has been busy
with the mic this week. The Arsenal money man and all round
good geezer has insisted that Thierry Henry wont be leaving
in the summer sales and that he will be offered a mind
blowing £100,000 a week to stay at the North London club.
In this gleaned interview the money said "Yes
I think Thierry will be here next season and he'll be running
out at the new stadium, leading the team onto the field."
In contrasting reports some sites/papers have reported
Saint Wenger wont have money to spend in the January Sales,
whilst others insist the shrewd Frenchman has cash to splash.
In head scratching fashion Keith Edelman in the last few
days has said "The money won't
be available to Arsene Wenger, it's just a plan to make
the club financially stronger for the future." And
then exclusively gleaned from the Daily Mirror Edelman
said "There are ample funds if the manager wants
to spend them to strengthen and develop the squad and we
would encourage him to do so. We believe vehemently
the product our customers come to see is the team." Go
figure.
The Pie man fancies his chances
Pie and cake eating Tottenham
manager, Martin Jol-ly fat bloke has said he believes his
bunch of underachievers can finally end the domination
The Arsenal have held of the Spuds tomorrow. Taking time
between eating his various assortment of fine meat pies
the fat one spluttered "1999 - that must have been
the last time we beat Arsenal. Was it 2-1 or something?
Six years, but since then Arsenal have been a top side
and Wenger has done a very good job over there.
"I put that mildly, as Arsenal are one of the best
teams over the past decade, so Wenger must also be one
of the best over the last decade." That's right you said
it fat boy.
