At last some good news
According to a few sites and papers, Sol Campbell is set
to make a miracle return in the Champions League game against
Sparta Prague on Tuesday. The Rock who got himself injured
playing for England against Austria last weekend
was thought to be out for a number of weeks rather than
days.
Also it is thought that captain and all round Mr Nice
Guy Thierry Henry is ready to rip up his sick note and
could be back in the team in nine days time, which is nice.
That news is especially gleaned from The Currant Bun who
had been speaking to The Arsenal medical staff.
Quickly followed by some bad news
Quick
on the heels of some good news for The Arsenal, here's
the bad. Ashley Cole is is said to be out till December
with a stress fracture in his foot, could be his left or
it could be his right, not sure which. Also sporting a
sick note after the international's is Belarusian Alexander
Hleb with a knee injury. The news still doesn't get any
better as Brazilian Gilberto wont be playing at the weekend
as he wont land in England until this morning (Friday)
after helping Brazil win their qualification group.
However saving the best till last, the real bad news is
that Pascal Cygan might get a start on Saturday against
northern monkeys West Brom of Albion, yikes!
TH14 in the frame - again
For nigh on the tenth time in his career Thierry Henry
has been nominated for the Fifa World Player of the Year
award along with 30 other players. However King Henry and
the 28 other players can save themselves some air fair
as Ronaldinho will no doubt be awarded the accolade at
the ceremony in Switzerland which is held sometime in December.
Walking in an Arsenal Wunderland - last chance
It's
still up for grabs.. After losing a lot of information
when Allgoonerdup had problems with the server recently,
actually make that lost ALL the t-shirt contest info. The
competition to win this fine t-shirt was extended. We had
loads of good answers first time round but frankly the
next batch were rubbish! So we're going to make
it easier to win the Wunderland t-shirt. Why should you
win it? Simple, isn't it? the best one gets picked out
the magic hat next Friday 21 October.
