Saint Wenger hands it to Manuel |
In what has to be a bit of a surprise, Saint Wenger
has given Manuel Almunia the nod ahead of Jens 'nutter'
Lehmann to keep the No:1 'keeper shirt in the next two games
- which could define our season. The games as if you don't
know are against the vikings of Rosenberg in the Champions
League and Premiership rivals the lottery winning chavs
from Chelski. Replacing Lehmann with Almunia shows a lot
of confidence on the part of Saint Wenger for the Spanish
'keeper, let's just hope he's up for the task and doesn't
make a big balls up like he has shown he is more than capable
of - as seen against Manure in the Mickey Mouse Cup and
against The Brum on Saturday.
The media are having a field day with this selection change
and even ex-Highbury leg-end David 'Safe Hands' Seaman has
added his considerable bulk behind the story by saying in
his northern jolly fat man way that he thinks its wrong
decision.. we'll see. The other changes are forced as Mathieu
Flamini & Justin Hoyte replace the suspended 'Le Boss'
Vieira and 'Ralph' Lauren, Dennis Bergkamp comes in for
The Invisible Man the artist formerly known as José
Antonio Reyes. The two games will see perhaps one of the
youngest central midfield The Arsenal have put out, certainly
in the Champions League - which sees Flamini, aged 20 paired
with Cesc Fabregas who is of course only 17. |

We get more bragging rights |
Yes more north London bragging rights to The Arsenal
as our reserves caned The Scum counterparts 2-1. Our
goals came from two of our Irish boys Anthony Stokes and
Patrick Cregg, can't remember who scored for The Scum so
he aint going to get a mention here. |

Do do do do Sols a Gooner..... for life |
Sol 'The Rock' Campbell has publicly said that he has
agreed to sign his new deal and that only 'legal technicalities'
are holding it up. It's not been confirmed whether the contract
is for three or four years - however I'm sure every gooner
is breathing a huge sigh of relief and smirking at the same
time as a lot of the media thought The Rock would sign elsewhere
simply for the money, like The Rock needs anymore money.

60 second roundup |
Arsenal have handed a trail to Tromso keeper Knut Borch,
the Norwegian 24 year old will spend a week with the champions,
this trailist could effectively mean the end of Stuart Taylor's
Arsenal career... Ol' 80% Proof Nose has been very very
quiet ahead of The Arsenal game against Chelski, don't be
surprised he opens that big gob before the end of the week.... |

Rosenberg match - my verdict |
A must win game which The Arsenal must battle without
our midfield general Le Boss Vieira, simple as that. After
the 3-0 victory against The Brum I think we'll have a home
win - as long as the midfield duo of Flamini & Cesc
is protected. Time for King Henry to show the media he can
rise to the big game, although I think Freddie will steal
the show as I'm sure he will want to get one over his Scandinavian
cousins. |
