Anyone fancy playing up front? |
With The Arsenal strikers dropping quicker than an Essex
girls g-string on a first date - the game against Liddypool
is going to be something of a lottery. You got to be in
it to win - but it's a question of 'WHO'S' going to be in
it? King Henry is rated at 50:50, Bergkamp faces a late
test, Reyes is having treatment and so to is Lord Persie
after coming off after only 18 minutes of play against PSV.
If you get yourself up the motorway to Liddypool (don't
even think about taking the train - you'll be stranded on
Sunday evening) bring your boots because you might even
get a game. But seriously, the televised game on Sunday
against those thieving scouser's will be a strange contest
as they have nearly no forward line either, with the guy
from the Thundercats missing through a broken leg and that
Eastern european chic-boy out as well. But sod them let's
concentrate on us, it's hopeful Bergkamp, Reyes and Lord
Persie will make the squad, but King Henry is fighting a
battle to be fit.
With Sol 'The Rock' Campbell back in defence, the back four
will be the usual line up and with The Rock's presence this
should steady the ship. The midfield will likely be Bobby,
Le Boss, Cesc and Freddie, who's been on fire the last couple
of games. Freddie loves to score against Liddypool and I
wouldn't bet against him scoring in this one. Only question
is, just who's going to lead the attack.. like we said bring
your boots. |

The Liverpool match - my verdict |
With Liverpool's attack looking really toothless this
is probably one of the times The Arsenal can travel to Liverpool
and actually believe we can get all three points. Stephen
Gerrard is back for the scouser's and is still finding his
fitness & touch after a spell on the sidelines, Le Boss
should be too strong for him and should dominate. It's just
a question where the goals will come from, Pires who's scoring
but hasn't found his all round game yet, Reyes desperately
needs a goal and The Iceman (if he plays) must be due a
goal soon. But I honestly believe if the defence is tight
and the central midfield duo of Le Boss and Cesc gives them
cover we could not only win this game but even come out
with a clean sheet, when was the last time we kept a clean
sheet? |
