Another three points bagged up
The Arsenal came through another
test last night when they deposed of relegation
cand idates West Brom. The Baggies who played with
the world famous 4-6 formation and parked a coach
in front of the goal into the bargain. Bryan Robson
the Baggies manager somehow was aggrieved at the
result and said "I think sometimes there's
no justice in the game. The effort they put in they
deserved something out of the game but we didn't
get any breaks".
Well when playing so defensive, we're not quite
sure just exactly what Robbo was expecting to get
out of the game. The win leaves The Arsenal four
points clear of American own conglomerate Manchester
Red Wildcats - which is nice. The scorers on the
night were the ever improving Lord van Persie and
(add a big Italian or Spanish team) bound Edu. It's
a wonder why The Arsenal don't try and do all they
can to prevent the stylish Brazilian from leaving.
However he is destined to leave which is a pity
as when He and DB10 the two elder statesman came
on in the second half to give the team some stability
The Arsenal looked more composed.
Once again José Antonio Reyes played a good
game and seems to be looking like the player we
first signed, just in time for his summer move to
Real Geriticos (allegedly) and was unlucky not to
score. But more plaudits most go out to the land
of the coo-coo clocks, man mountain (add more stuff
about the Swiss) Philippe 'the new
Tony Adams' Senderos
who got the man of the match award for another sterling
performance. At this rate Sol Campbell looks like
he might be having a long wait on the bench if Senderos
carries on like this. One nice thing about the game
was seeing Arsenal old boy Kevin 'Rottweiler' Campbell
- although the former idol limped out of the game.

Tel now only 30% chance of
playing the final |
Saint Wenger has only given goal
king Thierry Henry a 30% chance of playing in the
FA Cup final against the cheating dirty Manc scum.
Tel who hasn't featured in the last three games
with a groin injury is looking increasingly likely
to miss the rest of the season - which isn't nice. |
|
The Arsenal to buy Beck's? |
Saint Wenger must of got his '101 football jokes'
book out over the weekend and having a play with
the press. Wenger has gone on record and said he
would sign England Captain and money making machine
(Junichi Inomoto anyone?) David Beckham if Real
Geritico's were willing to sell. |
|
Will Lehmann be No:1 next season? |
In what seems to be the most telling evidence
that The Arsenal will sign a new keeper in the summer
sales our mentalist keeper Jens Lehmann has been
told by Saint Wenger that he isn't guaranteed the
No:1 jersey.
Saint Wenger has said "Since he got back in
he has played well, not playing gave him a break
mentally. It gives you respect for him when you
see how well he worked when he was out. He didn't
complain, he just worked harder. He didn't talk
about it, he just got on with it".
"All I can say is he has a good chance to be
number one next season."
A 'few' goalkeepers world wide have been linked
with a summer move to The Arsenal and we'll be taking
bets on who's the number one cand idate. |

T-shirt winner to announced on Wednesday |
Thanks for all your entries to win the DB10
t-shirt. All of you got the answers right - well
in a way. We asked who did Dennis score his first
and his 100th goals against? The answers were of
course, his first goal was that scorcher against
Southampton and his 100th was in the FA Cup against
Oxford. So well done Gooners the lucky one will
be announced on Wednesday when the winner will be
picked out the 'magic' hat. |
