The mystery of the clean sheet
at Highbury Stadium |
On Saturday 5th March after the
3 - 0 victory against the Pompey boys, a mysterious
clean sheet was found.
It is the first such find at Highbury since October
2004. A team of detectives as well as some archeologists
have been brought in in-order to determine that the
clean sheet isn't a fake.
The clean sheet was thought to be the stuff of legend,
such as the Horse in Manchester which has the body
of a man. We shall keep you posted on further updates. |

King Henry ends his 5 year wait for
a goal. |
The Arsenal came through a potential
'banana skin' tie against Portsmouth at the weekend
with King Henry bagging a hat-trick into the bargain.
The Arsenal still without the likes of Bergkamp, Reyes,
Pires, Campbell, Gilberto and Edu saw of boys of Pompey
in fine style. Dr Quincy of Owusu-Abiyie was given
his first Premiership start alongside Thierry Henry
and he did impress - nearly capping his performance
with a goal. King Henry managed to score his sixth
hat-trick in the red and white of The Arsenal. It
was touch and go as the goal to complete his hat-trick
was eventually knocked in by the boot of the keeper
after a thunderous trademark free kick. But the boys
on the goals panel got it right and The King got to
take home a match ball - which is nice. Special shout
out must go to the defence who looked comfortable
even without Sol ' The Rock' Campbell on the sidelines..
well played Gooners. |
|
177 down 8 to go |
The goal machine that is Thierry 'The
King' Henry is closing in on Arsenal Leg-end Ian 'Arsenal
Legend' Wright's goal scoring record. Ian Wright,
Wright, Wright of course scored 185 goals during his
hot shot Highbury reign. This now leaves The King
in third place in the Hall of Fame goal scoring charts
and one goal behind to equal second place Sir Cliff
Bastin.
Surprisingly Thierry 'The King' Henry prefers home
to playing away as 21 of his 22 goals this season
has been witnessed by the Highbury masses. |

The Arsenal win some silverware |
OK so it's the Arsenal Ladies, the
girls beat Charlton 3-0 at the weekend in the League
Cup. In what could be a possible quadruple by trophy
winning season for the girls and not even £300m
being spent into the bargain. |
|
And now some good news |
The Arsenal will see the return of
Dennis Bergkamp against The Munchkins of Bayern, also
making a possible return to face the Germans from
injury could be Edu and Bobby Pires. More good news
is that Pascal 'Le Grande Oak' Cygan will be missing
as he picked up and injury during the thrashing of
Portsmouth at the weekend. |

Jens 'Mentalist' Lehamann 'it's a
load of balls' |
Our Mentalist goalkeeper and part-time
street fighter Jens Lehmann has blamed the new Premiership
balls made by Nike for his errors...hmm so that's
why you try to come for corners when you have no chance?
Or our failing quick remark you could read Jens comments
here
but think you gooners may find it's a load
of balls as well. |

the round-up in 60 seconds or less |
Munchkin of Bayern monster powerhouse
defender Samuel Kuffour has made the headlines by
stated he will be leaving the Bavarian club in the
summer and wants to join The Arsenal (and god couldn't
we do with him).... Sebastien Frey has stated he will
be leaving Florentina in the summer - so don't be
surprised to see his name linked with a summer move,
it has been for the last 3-4 years - so this summer
shouldn't be any different....speaking of keepers
Stuart Taylor (remember him?) has told The Arsenal
to either play him or sell him. Seeing that the keeper
situation isn't the best at Highbury at the moment
it's a wonder why Saint Wenger hasn't given the young
man from Essex a go, anyway.... Saint Wenger has promised
big names in the summer thanks to the bumper £30m
to spend in the summer sales - so expect everyone
man and his dog to be linked with a move... |
