King Henry and Camp Freddie in
Arsene love-in |
New captain and all round Mr
Nice Guy, Thierry Henry alongside pin-up and underwear
exposing Freddie Ljungberg have come out in unison
and spoken about their trust in Saint Wenger in
using Cesc Fabregas as Patrick Vieira's replacement
ahead of the new season.
As everybody knows, no new experienced 'midfield
enforcer' has been bought to fill the gap left by
the former long legged captain. However both King
Henry and Camp Freddie believe and trust Monsieur
Wenger's judgment in fielding the 18 year old Spaniard.
King Henry had this to say "Cesc played really
well against Chelsea and Gilberto came back really
late from the Confederations Cup so he was short
to start. But when he came on, he looked good, I
would like to think that they can cope with the
departure of Patrick."
Camp Freddie along the same lines stated "I
trust the boss in his decisions. If he thinks there
is a player who is good enough, whom he wants to
add to the squad, then that is up to him. We will
see what happens."
So there you have it, there's more quotes on this
story but the above is about the crux of it. Remember
good people 'Arsene knows'.

Mentalist Jens fancies a fight |
No need to book ringside seats
as Jens doesn't fancy a fight with just anyone.
The nutty German has spoken out about the possible
signing of a new keeper saying “Everybody
who wants to play at a high level has to compete,
Everyday in training and especially in the games,
I have shown that I can perform when I really have
to. I always need to show that I am still capable
of doing it.” So it's only the new keeper
that needs to be worried. Although in a 'leaked'
story earlier today it was claimed the transfer
of 'possible target' Sebastian Viera has fallen
through due the Uruguayan failing his medical, oh
great start. |

Is Geordie boy Jenas going to be
a Gooner? |
The news on the grapevine is that
Saint Wenger does fancy Geordie boy Jermaine Genius.
However the price for the party boy who feels like
he lives in a gold fish bowl rather than some swanky
pad with girls on tap is 'too high'. It remains
to be seen whether Le Boss will make a move to encourage
the youngster to keep up the partying with a move
to the bright lights of Londonium.
Strangely enough Newcastle United boss Graham Sourness,
oops we mean Souness, er no we do mean Sourness,
we were right first time - has quoted the price
for Jenas at £15m. Three weeks ago the price
quoted was £20m, it seems if Saint Wenger
waits another few weeks he can probably get his
man for £5m and throw in Pascal Cygan into
the bargain, which would be nice.

round-up in 60 seconds or less.. |
Hot of the press,
is news that old warhorse Alan 'Elbows' Shearer
is a doubt for the game on Sunday, which is nice...Our
young guns including the likes of Dr Quincy, Justin
Hoyte and Seb Larsson beat the reserve happy Hammers
side on Monday night in the first game of the season.
The score ended 3-2 with Larsson bagging a brace
and super sub Nicklas Bendtner
getting the other on 90 minutes, which is nice...
oh you might of noticed a little game took place
on Sunday, the Community Shield we believe. Well
the score ended 2-1, we came up with such wonderful
headlines like 'Drog bites Arse' but really couldn't
be arsed (excuse the pun) and besides the game
in two weeks is what really counts... Midfield kingpin
and 'Invisible wall' Gilberto who's contract runs
until 2008 says he wants to sign an extension, which
is nice... but for now au reviour mon amis... Keep
it locked, more news at 11.. if anything does happen
later we'll give you an update.. |
