On today's show..
|
Wenger is off down
the shops |
Arsene Wenger has indicated
he going to spend some filthy lucre and that he
wants to buy a player. and the player he intends
to lavish his cash on is a new goalkeeper. At Tuesday's
pre-match conference against West Londoner's Fulham
Saint Wenger said “We will sign a goalkeeper
before the end of the transfer window but I do not
know who yet.”
With Bayer Leverkusen keeper Rene Adler being linked
to The Arsenal last week, Monsieur Wenger was asked
if he was the one? "No" was the simple
answer. The questions were coming in thick and fast and a journo asked whether any other players
were being sort? "No" was the answer and after a round of digestives that was that. |

Ashley Cole wants to
be buzzing |
No our PR savvy, Hotel
visiting left back hasn't got hold of Adrian Mutu's
number to go partying it up at exclusive London
hangouts. The best left back in the world™
(haven't used that in a while) wants to get back
to winning ways. After losing on Sunday to The Bank
of Chelsea in the league for the first time in 10
years when a fluky goal by the highest order and £400m was the difference Cole said “Chelsea
was only the second game of the season and you don’t
know what is going to happen. On Wednesday we have
to get re-focused and if we get a win, everyone
will be buzzing again.” Which is nice. |
|
and talking about the
game |
The big news ahead
of the big match is that Calvin Klein y-fronts exposing
and good looking sort Camp Freddie is out of the
game. Sol Campbell is also out, nothing new there
then, but also The Dutch Master Dennis Bergkamp
is a doubt with a back injury picked up in training.
Likely to return is one José Antonio Reyes
who for some reason or another wasn't even on the
team bus for the game at Billionaires Row aka Stamford
Bridge. |

Wenger 'Titi will come
good' |
With just one goal
in two games, the media calling for his head and
suddenly being rubbish, The Arsenal captain that
is rocket fuelled Thierry Henry has Arsene Wenger
talking him up. Monsieur Wenger has insisted "I
am convinced Thierry has the qualities to be the
leader of the team. Just give him a bit of time
to adjust to the responsibility. It's early days
for him. It took a while for Patrick as well but
it became natural after two or three months.
"Of course, as a striker, Thierry is in a different
position but I believe he's adjusting very well
to the role. Don't forget that he was out for four
months through injury and he is now getting slowly
back.
"He has worked very hard and once he is
back to his natural level, we will have a natural
leader. You feel him in the dressing room, he analyses
quickly what is happening and he responds very well."
Remember - 'Arsene Knows' |
