Arsenal own the North London bragging
rights (again!)
The Arsenal can lord
it over the boys from N17 yet again. The 1-0 win
courtesy of a brilliant goal by the erratic José
Antonio Reyes was another three points to securing
the second automatic qualifying spot for Uefa Champions
League. What is surprising is that it's the first
time in nigh on16 years that The Arsenal have done
the double over our 'rivals'. So make sure your
Sp*rs mates know that fact.
The Arsenal could and perhaps should of taken the
lead as early as the first minute when Reyes broke
clear of the Sp*rs defence but elected to hit the
side netting - just to give them some hope. Well
a bit of a scare moments later by their midget centre
forward Jermaine Defoe when our defence gifted him
a shot (their only one on target all game) - that
was about as near as they got to The Arsenal goal.
The Arsenal made just the one change to set up which
drew 0-0 against The Bank of Chelsea, with Lord
van Persie coming in for DB10. Sol 'The Rock' Campbell
who has been told by Saint Wenger he has to fight
for his place was keeping the bench warm again against
his old employers.
Reyes who was (over) due a goal put matters right
in the 22nd minute when he beat the offside trap
and shot brilliantly and beat Yorkshireman Robinson
- lifting Highbury into a frenzy. That's about as
good as it got, there were a few chances and a lot
of 'ooooooh' moments but they didn't go in, so that's
that. When Sp*rs tried to make a game of it with
The Arsenal tiring Edu and DB10 came on for Fabregas
and Lord van Persie, late on Man of the Match Reyes
was replaced by Jeremie Ali-Ali-Dere
and got a stand ing ovation - which is nice.
So once again The Arsenal are kings of the capital
- taking all six points and doing the double over
our fierce rivals this season - cheers easy, see
you next season.

would be rude not to. Wallpaper. |

It's a load of nonsense
say Shrewsbury |
'Allegedly' The Arsenal
are after Shrewsbury Town goalie Joe Hart, (yep
never heard of him here either). However, Shrewsbury
Town have played down speculation linking their
young goalkeeper with The Arsenal.
The Gunners are said to be keen on the 18-year-old
shot-stopper, who has recently broke into the first
team at Gay Meadow (no immature laughing boys).
However, talk of Arsenal inviting Hart for a trial
are wide of the mark, according to Town boss Gary
Peters. "That's absolute nonsense," said
Peters. See we told you. |
|
More players linked (must be a slow
week) |
Paris Saint Germain midfielder Modeste
M'Bami says he has heard about interest from Arsenal
and Lyon. The combative Cameroon international is
slowly coming back to full fitness after breaking
his leg in the autumn.
" I heard about Lyon and Arsenal but I can't
really talk about it or unveil what happens around
me". So that's why he is plastered all round
the media talking about a 'possible' move. The Bank
of Chelsea were supposedly eyeing him up during
the January sales - well him and about fifty other
players. |
|
Who's been a naughty boy then? |
Just when you think The Arsenal
have got rid of one tearaway another comes up to
replace him. Dr Quincy of Owusu-Abeyie was arrested
after the PFA Awards on Sunday night. It's not known
the reason behind the arrest apart from a 'bit'
of fighting. No one officially from the club have
made a comment yet but as soon as they do we'll
copy it - we mean report it here. However reports
that the Dutch youngster took matters into his own
hand s because Thierry Henry didn't win the award
for an unprecedented third time are well wide of
the mark. |

Lauren - what elbow? |
Our brilliant right back Ralph
'The Prizefighter' Lauren has denied he threw an
elbow at some Sp*rs tart in our North London bragging
rights, 1-0, done the double and getting six points
out of them this season game last night. Lauren
said there was nothing sinister in the act.
An always what with the Manure sponsored FA on hand ,
Lauren must wait to discover whether video replays
of the second-half incident get shown etc - in extra
slow-mo in most cases with The Arsenal players.
However, the Arsenal full-back has already made
it clear that he did not mean to injure the Sp*rs
full-back, who collapsed to the ground like some
big girl and even think we saw him cry a bit.
"It was just a normal challenge. Both players
went for the same ball and it was a fair challenge,
the kind that happens in every game, There was nothing
sinister about it. It was accidental" Lauren
told us exclusively before saying the same to The
Evening Stand ard. |
