Adam Elder
I am a Gooner through and through.
I live 5,500 miles away from N5, in San Diego, California, but don't let that fool you: I've been to Highbury and the Grove. I've had pints at the Bank of Friendship. I sleep under a picture of Highbury. I knelt at the altar of Bergkamp. I openly wept when No. 14 left, before realizing The Arsenal are better off.
I'm thinking of naming my first son Nigel. My dog's name was Tony. I watch my "49" DVD at least once a week. I look forward to celebrating St. Totteringham's Day again in 2008. And I always have faith in Arsene, even when I sometimes wonder whether he's lost the plot. I watch every single match of our squad here and fly all the way across the pond to see them in person when I can. Why? Because I bleed Arsenal.

What a good time to be an Arsenal fan. Every single pundit seems to have f*cked up royally in tipping the scum to get fourth and the Manc's can't buy a goal. Quite frankly I'm surprised we haven't heard of one tragic suicide after another coming out of talkSPORT as their precious Dimitar "average at best" Berbatov and "No first name" Nani fail to set the league alight. We've started well enough, and I'm happy for the performances to come in the big games. I never have any time from most of the stuff written about Arsenal. Half the writers belong to that old spuds cartel (that moron Pleat tipping them for fourth, the UEFA cup and a domestic cup) whilst the others just seem to want to sell the "EPL" to South East Asia. I suppose that's a reason for me wanting to write a bit.
Anyway, was meant to be introducing myself. The names Nathan and I live in North London, though precisely where varies with my academic commitments (Archway at present). Was born into an Arsenal family, living in an Arsenal area, and thankfully didn't get a choice in who to support. I usually get to all but a few home games in a year, and 4 or 5 away games a season (bloody finances). Of course I wish it was more.
The current squad is full of great players (I vaguely still remember Eddie McGoldrick, so I'll not criticise Hleb), but my current favourites are Adebayor and Senderos, two players who have suffered a bit of a hard time at one stage or another. Adebayor is so vital for us when he leads the attack, and Senderos will hopefully go the way of the original donkey. Past heroes are Wrighty (shame he went mental), Merse (clearly still a bit mental, if Soccer Saturdays anything to go by) and of course Keown, whose name adorns my favourite shirt. I'm not really into slagging off the team, though from a playing point of view I still can‚t see the point of Gilberto [runs to hills, and awaits angry mob].
Outside of football I don't really do a lot. I like history (sad, I know), and other sports like cricket, boxing and rugby league.
Anthony Coyne AKA Gunnersforme
Greetings, just a few hopefully none boring few words from yours truly, been a gunner since Adam was a boy, (I kid you not) since 1970 and boy have I seen some beauties come and go, this crop can really go places so I am looking forward to the season. I was an artist in burnt clay at one time (bricky) however now I work for the Local Authority in complex disabilities.
I have a good banter with quite a few of my clients that follow the majestic game good way to bridge the social and disability gap methinks. My wife thinks an alien from another planet kidnaps me on match day and puts a lunatic in my place; she just looks at me with wide eyes shakes her head and mutters something about having me sectioned under the Mental Health act, if/when we loose I should be. Still god willing that hopefully won’t be too much this season so onwards and upwards.

On the 5th March 1986 the Doctors in Greenwich hospital were nothing short of baffled, when a baby was born wrapped in a 79 away Arsenal shirt. Once un-wrapped, the child was equipped with a perm wig, and joke tash to match. The baby, thought to be the love child of Alan Sunderland, was actually reported as having a serious case of "Gooner", and was then diagnosed with "Red Arm" at birth.
Christened Scott Davis, the man is an avid Arsenal fan, and has been for as long as he can remember.

There has always been a brilliant harmony to my support of Arsenal. I was born in 1979 and thrown straight into a red and white outfit.. and my first FA Cup Final saw Alan Sunderland confirm my status as a good luck charm.
I lost my first tooth in a hot dog walking up the hill to Highbury to see us play Man Utd. In 1989 I was playing football in Sydney, Australia, and one famous day of that season both Michael Thomas and I scored last minute winning goals. I played for many years for my local football club wearing a red and white shirt with Wright and the number 8 on the back, banging in goals while my namesake did exactly the same (albeit with better celebrations) and I like to think I had some divine influence on it all.
And although I currently live a days flight from The Emirates, every time I return to watch the lads they go on to win the league. So with that in mind, donations for a flight and a season ticket will be accepted.....
