We've been here before - Allgoonerdup update - you sure?
Hello again mes amis and fellow Gooners - we've been here before. Firstly me apologising for not updating the site on a regular basis and The Arsenal showing some inconsistent form. Well first up a few things have changed so that's why I can't update the site on a daily basis, namely a new job with more responsibility and that so I can't skive off and bring you Allgoonerdup on a daily basis. So to be fair to all you Gooners who've emailed me and all you readers there's no point me saying I'll TRY and update the site every day - it simply aint going to happen. So what I'm going to do or say is that there will be updates only once or twice a week - obviously I want to keep the quality(?), banter and stories to a premium and I know one thing I wont be able to that on a daily basis. So there you have it Allgoonerdup is still a goer but it will be probably be more Allgoonerdup Lite than the full fat version with all the calories. Don't worry though there will still be monthly competitions, and hey what do you know there's one starting today, we will still be doing the Allgoonerdup Fantasy League and the Allgoonerdup 'Know the Score' League - so as northern monkey game show host Jim Bowen he of Bullseye TV game show fame would say 'Your prizes are safe.'
So what has happened since the last update on Allgoonerdup? Well frigging hell we do I start? We've had the Jonathon Russ and Russell Brand shenanigans, America's got it's first decent President for a long time with Barack Obama, Lewis Hamilton is the Grand Prix champ AND he's English - woohoo! I also do believe the UK brought back a bucketload of gold, silver and bronze trinkets from the Beijing Olympics - hey hang on Allgoonerdup hasn't been out of commission for THAT long. Anyway I digress, It's been a while that's all I'm saying. I'm not going to cover everything that's happened since the last update, I haven't got that long and you good people would just be reading stuff you know about but with a bit of twist of lemon my humour.
So Gooners, anyone out there think we're going to win the league? Really? Has Arsène Wenger got everyone's support? Are we going to be in for a roller coaster of a season? Will Donald Trump finally replace that stoat on his head with a real toupee? I won't answer all these questions but what I will say is that - I personally don't think we'll win the league. Stranger things has happened. We 'could' win it but on current form it aint going to happen, not only our form but the way the likes of CSKA Chelsea, Manchester USA and the hubcap nicking, shell suit wearing, giro getting Liverpool Scallies USA are playing it certainly aint going to happen. We do know this though - class is permanent, form is temporary. And all I can say is thank f*ck for that because are form is more up and down than a midget on trampoline. And talking of class one thing I thought was a great touch was the shirts The Arsenal wore last weekend when they had a poppy on the front. Did any other team think to have this? Could you think of another team apart from The Arsenal who would honour Armistice Day like that? OK it's not going to win us any prizes or any fashion awards but I thought it was a great touch.
But I'm trying not to ramble Gooners there's a lot of topics I would like to touch upon and I know there's stuff I will forget. But after we lost against Stoke a lot of Gooner's were calling for Arsène Wenger's head and then when we beat the Manc's those same people wanted a statue of Le Gaffer erected outside Ashburton Grove. Now there's a lot of knee-jerk reaction out there but calling for Wenger's head was a bit of joke in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I think when I saw the line up Wenger chose in midfield I thought he had lost the plot - but hey like I said previously I don't want to cover ground which has all ready been spoken about or posted on many an Arsenal flavoured website.
What I would say this season will be topsy-turvy one, it is going to be one hell of a roller coaster ride - and I don't think in a good way either. This season in particular has shown us the English Premier League is the best in the world whereby any team, be they the newly promoted teams, mid table teams or The Big Four© - any team can beat another team. Although we've had a fair share already as two of the newly promoted teams namely Stoke and Hull have beaten us, the cheeky bloody little upstarts. And what with Aston Villa serving us up on Saturday our top four position is on shaky ground as Villa you would of thought was a team we should beat and now they are sniffing around and are joint fourth with The Mighty Arsenal. Le Gaffer said he doesn't understand the inconsistency of The Arsenal. Well let me help you there - how about we have no leader. William Gallas couldn't lead a horse to fucking water in my opinion let alone our young team. As we know every fan is a manager, I'm not saying I know better than Le Gaffer I'm not that senile but I can see what we've missing. Like most Gooner's I chat to - we NEED a leader, we need a Tony Adams, a Martin Keown, a Patrick Vieira - I don't get Le Gaffer doesn't see it. OK he doesn't see most things and has got better with age but I think he's being bloody stubborn. Also we're playing with kids, OF COURSE they will be inconsistent, they are no different to any other kids. But hey I'm not here to knock Le Gaffer he has my support but if I've got a criticism I will voice it or post it - I'm not going to follow someone blindly - I'm not a frigging lemming. But what we do know is that we can only play with, with what we've got and hope we pick up some form and Wenger actually spends some of that loot in the January transfer window the board reckon he's got a swag bag full of. But also we have to hope we're not too far behind the likes of CSKA Chelsea, the hubcap nicking, shell suit wearing, giro getting Liverpool Scallies USA and Manchester USA.
OK well that's it from me today, OK it's not as high octave and funny (was it ever) as it should be but I'm not really in a jokey mood today as I believe The Arsenal and Arsène Wenger have some serious problems to resolve. But as I said we love our team and manager in the good times so lets make sure we back them in the bad times because if we don't we're just fucking plastic fans and the only worst than that is to be a tottenham fan.

This will start very soon..
As part of this season and trying to tie in with all the 20th anniversary shenanigans of that famous last minute championship win, allgoonerdup.com is doing a 'Thomas - it's up for grabs now' moment.
