What a rough week – from the Champions League draw to the anemic result against Boro. I won't mince words: this is an awful time to be sliding down the table, with encounters away to Chelsea and Bolton followed by an overdose of Liverpool three times in a week. I never liked watching them in the first place!
While their record in Europe is of course admirable, Liverpool are beatable, I think. And what's Benitez to do in this situation? Is his head going to explode with all the possible lineup permutations necessary for him to play the same team three straight times? I'm looking on the bright side here, but after some slip-ups in the league and FA Cup, we raised our game against Milan, and I hope we can do it again for the next round, as our league form is looking worse than James Richardson's hairline right now.
And that's as much as I'd like to say about the weekend's result, for the sake of my sanity. It's hard to be optimistic in times like this, but as always following a disappointing result, the weekend brings new hope – even if it's against those West London Chavs CSKA Chelsea. Let's pick ourselves up for this final stretch, shall we?

It seems to have passed by unnoticed, however it actually was St Totteringham's Day at the weekend - woohoo!! At least that's one thing us Gooners can be smug about. Hopefully I will get time to do an eCard or a screen saver for all you good people to either keep or send on to your spud mates if you're unfortunate enough to know any.
Once you get there have a look through the different categories to make it easier to choose just which shirt you want. Is there a shirt you like but would prefer it in a different colour? Well have word via email (shop@allgoonerdup.com) and we'll see what we can do for you, see how helpful the staff are? Go on, have a butchers - The Allgoonerdup Shop
OK, competition time again folks and your chance to win a fantastic Manu Adebayor (without the Olympic dive) inspired t-shirt. All you need to do to win this fine bit of clobber is tell us this. When did Le Gaffer splash the cash to get the big Togo forward to these shores? Easy isn't it?
Send your answers, name and postal address plus your choice of t-shirt, colour and size to:
iwannafreebie@allgoonerdup.com
Competition closes Monday 24 March.
Good luck Gooners.

Gilberto to leave: In what must be one of the worst kept secrets in football, Brazilian play maker and invisible wall Gilberto says he will leave The Arsenal if he can't break into The Arsenal first team before the end of the season. So I guess we'll be seeing you then Gil. I don't want to be harsh to Gil as he's been a terrific servant to the club, especially last season when he stood up to be counted and took on the mantle of 'daddy' when The Arsenal were going through (another) transitional period and also taking on the vice captain mantle and bossing the team in Thierry Henry's absence. What's so strange is that for as an amazing season Gilberto had, this season is a complete contrast. The big fella can't get in the team due to Mathieu Flamini's awesome displays and when he does get a look in - he's been let's be honest - shocking. However this isn't a character assassination - we do love you Gil but there's a time when you do have to say goodbye as not to undo all the good work and time you've put in - this will such a time, or ok the summer will... Mido ban to stand: Middlesboro striker and ex spud Mido, who kicked the sh*t out of Gael Clichy with his Bruce Lee 15 foot leap in the 1-1 draw at the weekend three match ban will stand. Surprisingly and a bit worryingly coach Gareth (I still haven't forgiven you for missing that penalty for England) Southgate wanted the red card overturned as he is doing his best 'The player didn't mean it', 'He's not a dirty player', 'He's distraught' and all that bollocks. Bottom line is that Mido was 10 foot off the ground and his feet shouldn't of been so high - it is football after all - not some form of Rollerball and GBH... Rosicky injury woe: Czech mate (!) Tomáš Rosický has revealed his sicknote waving injury shenanigans are started to frustrate him. Not as much as they're starting irritating us Gooners fella. I really rate Rosicky but damn - how injured does he want to be? It's becoming a joke, even Darren Anderton put in more time on the pitch... That's your lot, we out of here, au reviour mon amis...
