There's something really strange on going on in the football world, it's a bit like Tales from the Darkside or The Twilight Zone even. This weekend the big three seem to have a bit of a blip, a strange one, a feck up or whatever you chose to call it. Nobody seems to want to win anything, The Arsenal definitely don't seem to want to win the league and the manc's and CSKA Chelsea didn't seem to want to win the F.A. Cup. With the draw against northern monkeys t'Wigan Athletic in the Premier League The Gunners have now handed the initiative across to manchester USA who with their game in hand can overtake us at the top, feck it! I was actually wanting the manc's and CSKA Chelsea to win their F.A. Cup match ups as it would mean more games for them to play and so they wouldn't have to solely concentrate on the league (and the Champions League). But I must admit I laughed my arse off when I saw the results, in fact just seeing Alex 'Old 65% Proof Nose' Ferguson's face after the manc's ere dumped out of the cup by Portsmouth was worth the entry money alone.
But any road up I digress, I can't help but think we passed a major gift against t'Wigan by not picking up three points. Let's hope those escaped points don't come back to bite us on the arse. The one thing the game has taught us (as if we didn't know already) is that we haven't got the strength in depth as the likes of the manc's and CSKA Chelsea. Granted we had players missing through injury and suspension but we're still a bit light when our first choice boys are out. Lets hope we don't pass up too many more opportunities as the games are getting less and the pressure is getting greater. Also into the bargain to make it a crap Sunday even the scum won their match up against West Ham 4-0 to keep St Totteringham's Day at bay by a point, bah!
