Return of the Geordie boys

After the FA Cup match up on Saturday today sees the return of Newcastle United to Ashburton Grove for part 2 of the second head to head battle and if the result is anything like Saturdays 3-0 victory - I think all Gooners will be chuffed. Also with Kevin Keegan in charge you know Newcastle United will bring their brand of open and attacking football to The Grove meaning the game will be a great spectacle and not a dull affair as when some teams come to The Grove to solely park the bus in front of the goal.

Ahead of the match up against the northern monkeys the usual sicknote shenanigans are kicking off with (copy and paste) Robin van Persie still having the treatment room booked out all to himself. However he will have to share his grapes and other fruit with Tomas Rosicky, Johan Djourou and Denilson.

The Arsenal will be looking to cement their place at the top of the Premier League as a win will see the Gunners top of the pile for at least 24 hours as Manchester USA play Portsmouth tomorrow. Le Gaffer has said he will freshen up the squad, meaning changes, however just how many hasn't been confirmed. However a very attacking team line up for a must win game will no doubt be named. And speaking of attacking, Newcastle United look to have cigar stubbing McDonalds fighting mentalist Joey Barton amongst their ranks since his last misdemeanor. With Manu Adebayor absolutely on fire at the moment it just remains to be seen who Le Gaffer puts alongside him - with anyone from Nicklas Bendtner, Eduardo and Theo Walcott vying for the starting spot. Cesc Fabregas will no doubt start and he does seem to be finding his form again after seeing it dip from his usual high standards, in fact I wouldn't be surprised to see him get on the scoresheet - but with TheCesc and Mathieu Flamini in the centre of the park The Arsenal will look to boss the midfield and hopefully the game.

The folks at the Beeb have done all the stats and that malarkey, so have a butchers to get yourself up to speed. The Tale of the tape: The Arsenal versus Newcastle United

On the move?

'Ze German mentalist' Jens Lehmann: He's staying. End of.
Verdict: The grumpy old man is going nowhere, he's here to terrorise our defence and strikers alike

Who's in?

Luke Freeman: The fifteen year old is apparently only to dot the 'i's' and cross the 't's' and he'll become our new 'English hope'. A deal for the Gillingham youngster is thought to be done and dusted by the weekend.
Verdict: We've nearly got one in! Still a centre back would be nice.

60 Second Round-up

Are Real getting real? Apparently Spanish giants Real Madrid aren't going to 'waste their time' in trying to sign Cesc Fabregas. It seems the Madrid outfit have taken 'will you just f*ck off and keep your hands off our players' on board. Next episode in this saga will be Real Madrid making another summer swoop attempt - mark my words...That's your lot, we out of here, au reviour mon amis...

We are Arsenal.

Lassana Diarra
It was only one game, and it was against The Arsenal B team, so get over it already. Your first win in 9 years, yes 9 years, count them. Anyone would of thought you won the World Cup. And now your club is bringing out commemorative mugs - are you people that sad? Well the spurs shop probably did get one bit of marketing right - a right dodgy mug for a bunch of mugs. S0, trotts, you've been murked you chavy lot and you're this weeks tools of the week.
