All aboard the Ade Cool bandwagon

I don't want to get ahead of myself here, but last weekend's results left a big smile on my face. Arsenal looked on top of their game once again after comfortably dispatching an out of form Citeh, while our neighbors did us a nice little favor at home by holding Sir Red Nose of Ferguson and his boys and sneaky Chelsea didn't get a needed result at Portsmouth.

Okay, okay: I'm fully on the Ade Cool bandwagon now! My only beef with him up to this point was never his potential, just his maddening inconsistency. However, the only thing inconsistent lately is the manner in which he's scoring for us, knocking them in every which way! He's peaking at just the right time, and no doubt we're all glad Togo is such a sh*t team these days.

That brings us to Eduardo, another player who has really found himself at the right time. Arsene Nostradamus was right again! Yeah he was a bit offside, but what a goal! I could watch it again and again, with Clichy's excellent cross, Ade's flick, and a breathtaking finish from the man they call Dudu. That's another great cross lately from Clichy, this one coming when he had plenty of time and space. He's such a pacy guy that I suspect all the sprinting he does throughout the match makes him harried, which might explain some of his attempts at times.
That cross, along with his all-round consistency every match, made his boner at the other end more or less forgivable. Better to get that out of your system there than against Milan, methinks.

And hell, I'll just come out and say it: Philippe Stepanovs, the Cygan from Lausanne (actually, make that Geneva), has looked the player he was two seasons ago. With Kolo dispatched to Africa, he's forming a nice partnership with Mr. T (that's Gallas) in the back and, occasional Senderos-moment aside, gave the returning German nutter in goal precious little to do. I don't know how long Almunia will be out for, or whether Basil Fawlty had anything to do with his dislocated finger, but will Lehmann keep his spot? What kind of histrionics does he have left up his sleeve to unleash on an unsuspecting nation? Never underestimate the Germans …

Right then, another tedious international break this weekend followed by four crucial games in 13 days. Enjoy the break everyone. We've got Blackburn in the league, Yoonited in the FA Cup, Milan in that other cup and Birmingham all on our plate in a week's time. Can't wait!

T-shirt contest has now ended!

Allgoonerdup: win a Cesc Fabregas t-shirtThanks to all you good people who entered the 'Let's talk about Cesc Baby' t-shirt contest. We had a shedload of emails, the most amount for any competition on the Allgoonerdup.com site! And surprisingly nobody got the question wrong 'What club did The Arsenal get the midfield general Cesc Fabregas from?' - well you couldn't really could you? What with being able to 'Google' everything. The winner will be announced on Friday when we picked the lucky person from the 'magic hat'. Such was the interest and truckload of entries that we'll be holding another competition next week Monday - so keep them peeled for that!

Until such time - have a butchers at the clobber you could win or alternatively you could always get your wallet out your back burner and treat yourself - The Allgoonerdup Shop.

Good luck Gooners.

The scum were seconds from a victory against the Manc's but such is their desire not to possibly see The Arsenal pick up another Premier League title - they let United score with the last kick of the game. Still, better to get that game played now and not the last one of the season - because we all remember what happen there a few years back.
S0, trotts, you've been murked you chavy lot and you're this weeks tools of the week.
