I was going to do a write up along the lines of a bit of a story of how some Londoner's went up to Liverpool, had a great night out but then got mugged just before boarding the party bus back to civilisation. However, I can't be arsed. I am so gutted by last nights shenanigans. One thing is clear in the two legged Champions League match up against the hubcap nicking, shell suit wearing, giro getting Liverpool Scallies USA - refereeing decisions. Well more to the point, penalty decisions. Both decisions regarding the penalties were wrong, at Ashburton Grove Hleb got pulled back by Dirk Kuyt and his appeal was brushed away by the ref. I am not even going to go into the fact that the ref lived a couple of doors down the road from where Kuyt grew up as that's another story for the conspiracy theorists. And Anfield I am still wondering how the ref gave that decision. If that was a penalty (given in front of the Kop) then the one at Ashburton Grove should of been a double penalty. Anyway Gooners I am writing this on auto pilot, last nights result and emotions took a lot out of me - I am just glad we have an easy game this weekend so we can get over this hangover!
A few things might have been learnt from last night, never trust a frigging ref when you play Liverpool in the Champions League, no matter how many times Javier Mascherano commits fouls, especially the 'clever' fouls to stop teams moving forward he never gets booked, Cesc Fabregas needs a rest and Theo Walcott HAS TO START GAMES! Come on Wenger open your eyes, every Gooner I've spoken and sites I've visited to is wondering not only why the hell Emmanuel Eboué is playing for our great club but why you persist with playing him at right wing when he can't score (31 games and still counting) and hasn't made an assist for nigh on since Amy Winehouse only had the one tattoo. What does Theo need to do to convince you? Give him a run out and make that change at Manchester USA this weekend.
However what I will say is well done lads, you done the best you could against the 12 men at Anfield. We are Arsenal!

Forum resident Guildford Gooner has this thought. Well that's it for the league. Our threadbare squad seems to have run out of steam and if I was being really honest I could stomach a loss to the Manc's as long as it makes sure that the chav's don't win it. As long as it's a narrow loss. With another shite penalty decision going against us.
