The Fat lady has song

Allgoonerdup: Arsenal views and news and that - picture of big fat singer michelle mcmanusWell Gooners its all over for another season, the fat lady cleared her throat and belted out a song as The Arsenal went down 2-1 to champions elect Manchester USA (you have no idea how much that sticks in my throat).

First things first I think, I don't think anyone at the beginning of the season would of thought we would of lead the league they way we did and go further in the Champions League when selling the likes of Thierry Henry, Freddie Ljungberg and Jérémie Aliadière (!) and being reliant on such a young squad. However all talk of The Arsenal being replaced in 'the big four' by the big spending  spurs because they splashed the cash including the baffling sum of £16.5m on Darren Bent is more than laughable. Spending money doesn't instantly make you a top four Champions League playing team. However spending close to £40m in the summer and winning the Mickey Mouse cup probably seems like a sound investment for those chav scum up there in N17. Anyway I want to talk about my team. I know everyone is very frustrated and down round about now.

However lets be positive and put things in perspective. At the beginning of the season no one would of thought we would of done what we have (I wont say achieved because ultimately we haven't 'achieved' anything this season in terms of silverware only experience really) this season. So for al their efforts all I can say is that I am well proud of the boys this season, the only downer is that they promised so much but fell at the final few hurdles. I cant think of anything to much to say right now apart from next season for The Arsenal starts now - so lets hope Arsène Wenger gets his wallet out and adds some experience to the squad.

Allgoonerdup: Tool of the week image
Allgoonerdup: Tool of the Week section dedicated to a player/manager/ref for being - well basically - a tool
Dirk Kuyt
In light of our demise in the Champions League it seems apt for Dirk Kuyt being our Tool of the Week. Kuyt gets the nod for, not only fouling Hleb and then claiming the referee was right not to give a penalty, but for being one ugly geezer. Well that as well as being a robbing scouse chav bstad who then dives himself in the second leg and tries to claim a pen of his own!

S0, Kuyt you cheating mofo, you're this weeks tools of the week.
